More goodies for Metal Gear Online News

Konami has wheeled out more goodies for Metal Gear Online, including playable character Old Snake and his Octo-cam suit, which will automatically blend him into the environment.

There's also a re-imagined version of the Shadow Moses map from the first Metal Gear Solid game. Dubbed Icebound Inferno, this snowy and peaky arctic island is best for medium or long-range battles.

On top of all that is an Auto Matching Reward mode, where winners win even more points - or become the only player to receive anything when on the winning team. Everybody else is a loser.

This new content is only for players with the SCENE Expansion.

I'm confused. Old Snake is in it anyway, I'm assuming this means he's in other game modes.

Does anyone still play this, and if so how do the special characters come into play? I'm really curious, I've not been online on my PS3 for a while and wouldn't mind some MGO, but if everyones elite and/or using special characters to dominate, I'll pass. Still a good game though.

There's well over 1,000 people on Metal Gear Online pretty much all day everyday so yes people still play it !
Old Snake is randomly selectable during sneaking mission, presumably it's be the same random selection when the shadow moses map appears in auto-matching rotation ? Not sure that's unconfirmed. You can select him and the I.I. map for free battle and training though, that I can confirm.
I'm hopelessly addicted to MGO, some players on it are inhumanly good though ...
