Mirror's Edge DLC is free on PS3

Time Trials still seven quid on 360 though.

The downloadable Mirror's Edge Time Trial content has turned free on the PlayStation Store.

This unexplained phenomena occurred a few days ago, according to vg247, and the previously seven-quid bundle has remained free ever since. That's not the case on Xbox 360, however, where the extra Time Trial stages still cost 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60).

Mirror's Edge Time Trials present an airborne archipelago and challenge you to run and jump and puzzle your way to the finish as fast as you can. They forego the forgettable story and flimsy combat of the main campaign too, and focus on the pure and exhilarating concept DICE built its beautiful game around.

Head over to our Mirror's Edge review to see what you missed.

Wasn't planning on buying this, but found out it was free yesterday and immediately downloaded it.

It made me remember why I loved this game! Seven hours later, it made me remember why I hate it.

    Evil 3 stars!

I was going to DL this, but my damn PSN connection is down at the moment. Want to get in and grab this ASAP, just in case it is an error, although it has been so long now that it probably isn't.

Shouldn't it be free on Marketplace then, since MS said if it was free on other platforms...

Hope MS make this free for 360 owners, can't see it happening though :(

It will neither be free nor complete on the 360, sadly.

Got the 35 star time trial achievement on 360 and that's literally the best I could do.

Obtaining 3 stars on all courses is bloody difficult,. I got 2 3 star ratings I think.

Wow. That's a lot of game for under 20 quid.
Buy it on PS3 if you don't own it yet. It's one of the most distinctive games of recent years and I loved most of it, even though it hates you sometimes.

Getting this right now! I did something with Mirror's Edge that I never, ever do... played it on 'easy'. Once I self harmed myself for doing so the game was SO much better than before.

wasn't there some other DLC that was free on the PS3 but not on the 360 also? I can't remember what though :S

I paid for this on the Xbox, but I'm not bitter. Plenty of times I've bought something at launch to see deals and price reductions later on, even with digital content. It happens. Should probably alert my brother to this, as he has the PS3 version.

They had this in the bargain bin in Morrisons for £6.
  • macksed #12 3 years ago

that's because morrisons' supplier went bust, they also had KZ2, LBP, SF4 and Motorstorm 2 for £6 ... good times.
  • JHuxley #13 3 years ago

Didn't know that. I picked up Odin Sphere on PS2 for £5 but they didn't have any 360/PS3/Wii games I haven't already got. Looks like I was too late. :(

Wow, getting this as soon as I get home. Although lent the game to a friend cause I found it too frustrating but free is free eh?
  • Ninja_Tino #15 3 years ago

Got mine from Morrison's this morning. They had KillZone you say? Damn, that's annoying. Mine were all out. Would have brought them all and traded them in else where.

@ zerolight - how odd, not at the Morrisons i went to, -my friend who works there tipped me off, they all sold out in 2 or 3 days... they had loads of CDs for £2, DVD' for £4 and games for £6... my friend picked up all of the above - so that now he has an excuse to buy a PS3 =D
