London Resi Zombie Walk on Halloween News

Wii News by Robert Purchese

21 October, 2009

Capcom wants you to dress up like a zombie and walk across London on Halloween (31st October).

This is the publisher's way of celebrating the UK release of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles on Wii, and there will be prizes and booze for people taking part. Responsible booze, that is - no one likes a drunk.

Turn up at noon outside the Tate Modern to prepare for the "rampage" across the Millennium Bridge. Be judged as the best-dressed zombie to win a Wii console and copy of the game. The best zombie-moan and best zombie-shuffle also win copies of the game.

There's a free drink for the first 50 arrivals, and the first 20 people on the scene will have their make-up done by experts.

EG Expo alert: This event clashes, but zombies are welcome at our gaming extravaganza. However, all tickets for the London EG Expo are now sold out.

To be honest I think I should stay away from this, the instincts might kick in and I'll end up decapitating people

Valve should get four people dressed up as the characters from L4D2 assembled on the other side of the bridge.

Already dressed as a zombie and got drunk last weekend between Marble Arch and the Intrepid Fox for charity on World Zombie Day. Would rather do that to raise money for St Mungos than Capcom... And of course I am already spending the day at th Eurogamer Expo ;-)

:) In time honored fashion. Hearing that the expo is sold out in London suddenly makes me want to get a ticket. I plum forgot to get mine this year as I didn't expect it to sell out so quickly.

Say someone didn't know this was an event? Surely everyone is so zombie savvy by now that they might think its real and LMOE on them? :)

Actually Capcom are at the World Record Zombie Walk Event in Manchester on the same day promoting RE: TDC, typical of London-centric media to ignore the bigger event and focus on a much smaller one just 'cos it's in the capital.....

How much cooler would it be to see all those zombies walk through a shopping mall (just like in Dawn of the Dead) rather than walk over a bridge eh?
