Home to get Red Bull zone this week
Plus Killzone and Resi clothes for Americans.
According to a post on the PlayStation blog, PlayStation Home is to be updated this week with a new space: Red Bull Island.
This sponsored zone provides the free virtual world with a tropical island to explore and a Red Bull Air Race competitive mini-game. The Air Race is the first of several "Red Bull events" planned for the island "with more to come in the next few months", according to the post.
There are also some themed costuming bonuses for Home users on the other side of the Atlantic. If you pre-order Killzone 2 through Amazon, Sony Computer Entertainment America will give you an exclusive Home costume. You'll be able to dress your avatar up as an ISA soldier or a Helghast Assault Trooper ("or something in between"). There are also some Resident Evil: Degeneration t-shirts on the way from SCEA.
Finally, Ligne Roset furniture and Diesel clothing brands will get their own storefronts in the virtual mall. There are no precise dates for these updates yet, although Home servers appear to be down at time of writing.

Free Diesel clothes? I very much doubt it.
Red Bull Air Race sounds interesting but I'm not queueing up to play it. Queueing for games is the real next gen eh Sony?
