"Undetected" Destiny 2 cheat service closes after cease and desist demand from Bungie

"We won't comment on whether these claims are justified or not."

Online cheat distributor PerfectAim has been served a cease and desist from Destiny 2 developer, Bungie.

The site's Destiny 2 bundle - which included "aimbot, wallhack, teleport and other cheats" for people playing the sci-fi shooter on PC and was available for a monthly fee - is now "no longer available".

"A claim has been made by Bungie, Inc. suggesting that this product violates the game's license agreement," says a pop-up message on the Perfect Aim website. "Furthermore, a demand was made that we cease and desist from selling this product.

"We won't comment on whether these claims are justified or not, but have decided to comply with this demand regardless. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers."

It remains to be seen if the company will challenge the legal action made against its "undetected Destiny 2 cheat".

Destiny 2's install size will soon shrink significantly, but there's a catch: you have to re-download the entire game.

As Wes recently reported, Bungie said the upcoming Beyond Light expansion will shrink Destiny 2's install size by 30 to 40 per cent. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, including all updates, is currently 120GB on PlayStation 4, 111GB on Xbox One and 95GB on PC. After Beyond Light comes out, Destiny 2 will weigh in at between 59GB and 71GB, depending on the platform.

Destiny engineering director David Aldridge explained this reduced install size was made possible due to culling unused or replaced content, install size optimisations, and moving some content to the Destiny Content Vault (a decision that has sparked much debate within the Destiny community). "These improvements should also help us control install size better in the coming years," Aldridge said.
