Star Wars Battlefront companion app now available

EA has launched its Star Wars Battlefront companion app and website, just in time for the game's early launch today via EA Access.

Let the Wookie win.

Versions for iPhone/iPad and Android devices are now available to download via the App Store and Google Play, respectively.

Alternatively, there's a web-based version to dabble with.

Each app allows you to poke at your loadout, see what friends are up to and peek at what you're close to unlocking.

It also includes a fairly addictive siege game, which is sort of like tower defense meets Star Wars holochess, to earn more in-game Credits.

If you have an Xbox One and an active EA Access subscription then you can begin downloading Star Wars Battlefront from the 12th to play the full game for 10 hours. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until next week. Get clicking that holochess.
