Remote Play coming to Ico, God of War 1 and 2, Shadow of the Colossus

Sony outlines cross-platform features.

Sony has announced a new set of PlayStation games that will support Remote Play.

Four games will get the functionality: Ico, God of War, God of War 2 and Shadow of the Colossus.

Remote Play allows PlayStation Vita users to remotely access their PlayStation 3 Xross Media Bar. It works by providing a video stream of the output image on the PS3 to PSP or Vita.

Meanwhile, Sony confirmed titles set to use the various PS3/Vita cross-platform features.

Cross-play will be active in fighting games Street Fighter x Tekken and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which launches on PS3 and PS Vita. This feature is already available in Hustle Kings, MotorStorm RC and WipEout HD / WipEout 2048.

Cross-Controller, which lets you use your Vita as a controller in select PS3 games, is coming to LittleBigPlanet 2. It's already active in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Cross-Save, which lets you play at home then keep playing on the go on your Vita by managing game data in the cloud, is coming to Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Sound Shapes and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. This is already available in Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend, MLB12: The Show and MotorStorm RC.

And finally Cross-Goods, which lets you share virtual items between Vita and PS3, is coming to Street Fighter x Tekken, Assasin's Creed 3 / Assasin's Creed 3: Liberation, Sound Shapes, LittleBigPlanet 2 and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
