Disney has announced that PC MMO Pirates of the Caribbean Online will go on show at E3 next month - but it won't be in the shops until 2007.

POTCO was due to launch alongside the new film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, this summer. But now it'll launch next year, at the same time as the third film in the series, instead.

The game will let you create your very own pirate character and interact with characters such as Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Keira Knightley. You can expect "hundreds" of customisation options, all manner of buried treasure and lots of scary pirate skellingtons. And a monthly subscription fee.

Pirates of the Caribbean Online will make its debut at E3, so look out for more news then.
