The World of Cyberpunk 2077 hardcover lore book launches next year

Bring Night City home.

Dark Horse Books and CD Projekt Red have teamed up to produce The World of Cyberpunk 2077 - a full-colour hardcover lore book that will be released alongside the hugely anticipated RPG.

According to the blurb, the book will allow you to "delve into incisive lore to discover how the economic decline of the United States created a crippling dependence on devious corporations and birthed the Free State of California". Information is promised on the all the seedy intricacies of Night City: the gangs, districts and its history. Plus, there's loads of info about the tech, cybernetics, weapons and vehicles you can find in the neon-drenched metropolis.

Even if there's only the cover to go by so far, I think this could sit handsomely on a bookshelf or coffee table next to an increasingly more accurate pile of dystopian fiction. I do say that, though, as someone who bought the gorgeous Hyrule Historia years ago and has let it live in a drawer ever since!

Anyway, you can now pre-order The World of Cyberpunk 2077 for 30.25 from Amazon UK or $35.99 from Amazon US.

As for Cyberpunk 2077 in the video game world, well, apparently CD Projekt Red is busy at work with three games set in that universe. They're also messing around with a potential multiplayer component for the series, whatever that may look like, though that seems a long way off for now.

It looks like GAME still has stock of the full-to-bursting Cyberpunk 2077 Collector's Edition on PS4, Xbox One and PC as well. Copies may start to dwindle soon as we draw closer to its April release.
