The Call of Duty Elite beta goes live on PlayStation 3 today, Activision has announced.

Access will be activated in stages, with limited invitations rolling out from today.

Features being tested in the beta include stat tracking, the use of custom player groups, competitive events and video sharing, with many more then added when it launches for real on 8th November.

Xbox 360 users have been in on the beta for a couple of months now, while PC users will have to wait a little longer - it's due on desktops some time in the Autumn.
