Italian developer Insidia, who were working on a first person role-playing adventure game called "Malleus", have sent word that the engine which was previously powering the game is now available for licensing, and that they are instead working on a new cutting-edge 3D engine called "Vulcan".

The new Vulcan engine will "take advantage of all the new features of 3D boards, like 3dfx's T-buffer, Environment Mapped Bump Mapping, Transform & Lighting acceleration, and advanced texture compression", with support for both Direct3D and OpenGL. The engine will also feature a powerful scripting language called VScript, intended to allow players to easily edit the game and create their own mods. Look for more information soon!
