PlayStation 3 News by Ellie Gibson

27 May, 2009

Sony has confirmed an inFamous hardware bundle is about to hit the shops.

For GBP 299.99 you'll get an 80GB console plus a copy of the game, which scored a healthy 7/10 on Eurogamer.

The bundle is retailing for GBP 279.99 on Amazon, with a free HDMI cable thrown in.

Sony says you'll also be able to pick it up from Comet, Dixons, Curry's, GAME, HMV and your friendly local independent retailer.

Really good game, if not quite a system-seller. I still think they should sell it without any games and sling it out for 250 quid.

Still a little too high for me to invest. Here's hoping they drop the price sometime soon.

I'll be astounded if there isn't a price drop this year. It'll be interesting to see how inFamous sells - I hope it does well, it's a good game.

Pity the inFamous demo is so big. At 1.7Gb, it's a pretty hefty download which I just haven't bothered with.

Actually many sites gave it between 8-10. So I wouldnt just lambast IGN/Gamespot... it also goes the other way also.

If they are releasing this as a bundle right now..I dont think we will see a price decrease before Oct... certainly no mention of one at E3.

It's hardly the "added value" that Sony have talked about in the past. It's just the console and a game.
