Europe will wait until 2010.

Sony has told Eurogamer that the God of War Collection will not be available in Europe this year.

PS3 owners after the Blu-ray, 720p revamp of the two PS2 instalments - God of War 1 & 2 - will have to import from the US next month.

The Collection also includes a code to download a demo of God of War 3. But whether this will be available on the North American PlayStation Store before Christmas remains to be seen.

We hope so, as Sony told us last week there would be no digital European God of War 3 demo this year.

You will be able to play God of War 3 at the Eurogamer Expo in Leeds and London next week, however. Our EG Expo site has a full game line-up plus all event details. Tickets are only Ł6 and selling out. Be quick.

nice way to shaft the EU retailers Sony
- not that I have real concern for them
I just want my revamped GoW games.
/mutters about my PS3 not being able to play my PS2 games sitting on the shelf.

No. the story on friday was about the God of War Demo. This is about the God of war collection.
The story you are talking about is linked and refrenced in this story.

It not a repeat of news its new erm... News.

Yeah I didn't even notice the Expo ticket paragraph until people started commenting on it. They're probably bitter as it's the only advert that gets past the ad blocking.

Probably a culmination of Sony deciding to place a newer build of the E3 demo up after the discs got printed, rather than the E3 build that was very much viewed as a work in progress, and to cut down on disc reselling....boost PSN numbers innit.
