MTV on life after Rock Band
Time for something different.
MTV big cheese Jeff Yap has hinted that his next game project will be something completely different to Rock Band.
The Guitar Hero challenger is already out in the US and proving to be a nightmare to get hold of. However, not content with this, MTV is keen to widen its portfolio and promises a surprising announcement soon.
"We're pretty optimistic about what [Rock Band] is going to do," Jeff Yap told Reuters. "But our next big announcement, which is coming up fairly quickly, is a move to a whole other realm."
Of course, with shows like Hogan Knows Best, Pimp My Ride, Newlyweds and Cribs, its choices are endless.
Rock Band is due out in Europe on PS3, Xbox 360 and PS2 in Q1 2008.
