MotorStorm update in May
Pit-stop ahoy.
Dirty racer MotorStorm will be pulling into the pits in May for a catalogue of minor fixes.
The most significant change is to the player ranking system, where some people were apparently exploiting a bug and being falsely listed. The cheats. And because of this Sony and Evolution are having to reset the entire leadberboard after the fix to ensure it's fair and accurate.
Online stability is also being looked at, and Game Status is being added list in the lobby so that you join games and race more promptly. There's also going to be an auto-start feature added, fixing a start time for races to cut-down on waiting around in lobbies.
Those of you who are popular will now enjoy a bigger friends list of 50 people, and there's a flurry of other minor bug fixes and tweaks.
MotorStorm launched alongside the PlayStation 3 in Europe. It's a great big muddy mash-up of a racing game where you'll smash and crash and bash and dash.

Another Aussie here having exactly the same problem. And I agree the inability to play tracks from your own playlist is very annoying, particularly after having the feature for so long on the 360.

I agree... I like Motorstorm but the game could have been so much more with some more single player modes and a bit of imagination.

as for the update: only good thing is that one sees the status of an online game. i guess the bugfixing is cool too, but since i didn't experience any of those during my 40+ hours that i played the game, i don't care really.
oh and that the boost glitch won't work anymore is nice too.

Either that, or you've never played a rally game.

Well if that's true then how come Gran Turismo HD, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection, Full Auto 2 and Virtua Tennis 3, among others. all run fine at 1080i then on my HDTV?

Anyway the game is far more in the rally racing genre than it is saay the simulator genre.
Ohh another thing to prove I've played it, it's the first racing game that rather impressively takes about 5 seconds to load up each new choice of car when I'm trying to pick one
