Ignition reveals Deadly Premonition News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

11 November, 2009

Ignition has announced a new third-person survival-horror game called Deadly Premonition. Only it's not new: it's Rainy Woods with a new name and platform focus.

Due early 2010 on Xbox 360, the game follows an FBI agent investigating some creepy goings-on in a weird rural town. There's exploration, shooting, puzzles, driving, bleeding trees, zombie villagers and funny signs on walls.

Deadly Premonition does look atmospheric, though, as a trailer on Joystiq shows.

The link you added to your previews, originally titled, article on EG is dead.. Weird since the link was just made to be dead.

The game itself after checking the video, semeed bad. Only good thing was the idea of that "zombie" looking chick, shoving her arm in his mouth as a form of attacking. A few close encounters of the kind are a good step for a horror game but I cant help but notice that the graphics ( at least at the current state of the game.. )look as a PS2 / Wii game and in total the trailer is kinda.. pale and empty.

Needs a lot of work in order to become a decent up to good game.

It reminds me a lot of what I've played of SH2, but it's for the 360. It also reminds me that I haven't played Homecoming at all, yet.

For a moment I thought it was a revelation of a remake of that awesome 1997 racing game...

Ha! I knew it! Another fantastic exclusive for Microsoft! At this point it's obvious that publishers have chosen the real third-party leader of this generation and they're showering the platform with plethora of high-profile, AAA excl...

I don't have a 360 but I think this looks promising, sure the visuals aren't hugely detailed compared to other games about but the art design looks good, besides not every game can have an Alan Wake sized budget.

Christ, how did I miss this story! Oh yeah, because of the name change. I'm only commenting now because I was screwing around with my most wanted games list and discovered the name change.
