Modern Warfare 3 DLC schedule for 2012 revealed
New maps, missions, modes planned out.
Activision has sketched out its Modern Warfare 3 DLC schedule for the next nine months or so.
As revealed earlier this month, the publisher is planning around 20 'drops' of content for premium Elite subscribers during 2012, created by three different developers - Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer and Raven.
The first bits of new content - the Piazza and Liberation multiplayer maps - launched for Xbox 360 today.
According to a chart posted on the game's official site, Elite subscribers can expect the rest of the year to pan out as follows:
- February: New map
- March: New map, two new Spec Ops missions
- April: Two new maps
- May: New map, new Spec Ops mission
- June: New map, new Spec Ops mission, new game mode
- July: Two new maps
- August: New map, new Spec Ops mission, new game mode
- September: New map, new Spec Ops mission
All these add-ons will sporadically be bundled up for non Elite subscribers and sold in a more traditional fashion.

A gave it a good go, but sold my copy and went back to Black Ops.
The maps were appalling - like 16 versions of Nuketown.

They already did give the info on the structure for the releases;
1st Elite 360 users
2nd To purchase on 360 marketplace
3rd PS3 Elite users
4th PSN store
5th PC Users
There isn't even any PC Elite so not sure why you mention these non-existant subscribers.....

No new guns, equipment, options, customisation, attachments, kill/death streaks, emblems/titles or anything else.
Drip feeding maps every couple of months sounds worse than just waiting a bit longer and getting it all in one go. Giving elite subbers maps early (yeah, they have to justify the price somehow, but...) segregates the community, meaning that you can't enjoy the maps with friends who don't subscribe. At the moment this seems more like them testing the waters and hopefully they will buck their ideas up for the future.

We pay Xbox live subscriptions for an online gaming experience, not online passes, elite subscriptions, overpriced DLC shite, serviing up old maps with a lick of paint.
Just say no unless what is being offered is of incredible quality, hopefully original and, priced very reasonably.

10 additional maps is a pretty good offering to be honest.
