BioShock 2: Minerva's Den gets PC date

Better late than never, right?

BioShock 2's Minerva's Den DLC expansion finally arrives on PC from 31st May.

The campaign add-on, which originally launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in August 2010, will be available via Games For Windows Live priced at 800 Microsoft Points.

Developer 2K Games decided to scrap plans to bring the expansion over to PC back in September, blaming "timing and technical issues". After taking a bit of a beating from disgruntled PC gamers on message boards it then backtracked and upped tools again.

Now, nine months after it arrived on consoles, you'll finally get to see what you've been missing out on.

The original console trailer below should offer a taste of what to expect.

The only Bioshock 2 dlc worth downloading, Highly recommended.

I'd say even more, Jambii: it's better than Bioshock 2's main story.

Dont let them regret it, pc owners go buy this. Awesome DLC

    "Timing and technical issues" eh?

Or in other words, there isn't a large enough user base on PC to bother with DLC that maybe 20% of them download if we're lucky.

Anyway, I downloaded this on xbox when it was cheap t'other day. Heard good things about it so looking forward to trying it soon.

About time! Guess I will play Bioshock 2 when I'm done with The Witcher 2.

I thought there was only one expansion...

This one kind of passed me by (I think it got lost alongside the various bits of multiplayer DLC, which interest me not), but I'd recently been hearing very good things about it. Got DS2 on the go atm, followed by LA Noire very soon, but this is definitely on my "when I eventually buy some points" list.

Why bother after almost a year?
I never understood this Fable 3 will sell like crap this will sale like crap. People moved on from these games or aren't probably interested anymore.
If they can not give a simultan release they should release it after 3-4 moths, after that they shouldn't even bother. Only excpetion I think are the titles that are really some heavy hitters.
Like for example RDR people still wait for a PC release which they will get eventually and I beleive it will have good sales on PC.
For Bioshock 2 it was worse than the first game not saying it was bad but it wasn't as brilliant. Well Fable 3 was kind of a letdown as well. We can see that from the xbox reviews, they won't change the core game for the PC so everybody knows what to expect.

    @Inmediasress

I thought the story progression of BS2 wasn't as good as 1 (but then it was up against strong competition), but I also thought pretty much every game mechanic was improved upon. If people liked BS1, 2 is definitely woth your attention.

Nice to hear. What bothers me though is that if I get this I will have paid more for an expansion pack then I did for the game.

Great expansion to a fantastic sequel.
