Lads miss out.

Activision is giving away codes to download Call of Duty: Black Ops Avatar clothes for free – but only for female characters.

Why? Because the printed codes in the Hardened and Prestige edition packages of the game only included male Avatar gear. How sexist.

Inputting the code GYVF8-PF7RY-28D7V-VGWV8-CFGRM gets you the SR 71 Flight Suit. Smashing in R76BQ-CR3MF-G2TTF-9G36R-BQWJD turns up the Woods Outfit (thanks, Cheapassgamer). Go! Go! Go!

My avatar goes transgender to try out: good news is that the SR71 pilot suit has a face concealing helmet, and both items' body figure aren't feminine at all. So if you want to use them you can change you avatar to female and use a male hair style, most can't tell.

Well that's... Random.

And the purpose is to involve/highlight teh laydeez interest in CoD?

Am I to assume that next week they'll be making Kinectimals furry outfits available to blokes to even the score? Or that blue gimp Unitard from Wii Fit... Um "Fitness Evolved"...

edit: I read as far as second paragraph (further in fact!). I meant it's rather random of them to release this to all rather than on an individual request basis. I owned bejeweled until I upgraded my HDD and I had to call support and jump through hoops to get a code for something I already owned. MS seem to have gotten all benevolent of late if they're throwing the codes out there.

edit 2: Oh and "lads miss out"? People who write sub-headings for front page Eurogamer article links who haven't read the second paragraph:

@chrisjm Ah yes but they aren't free. Apparently the ladies MW2 ones are though, regardless of whether you bought the game. Which was my point. Not sure that was made very clearly though.
