PSP firmware updated to 6.00

Some new colours. That's about it.

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Portable firmware will be updated to version 6.0 "soon", cautioning that it's just a minor update.

And they're not kidding - the headline feature is that you get a few new colours in the Theme Settings menu.

Beyond that, there's a new "security patch" and "Network Update" has been renamed "System Update".

It's a far cry from the sparklers, zebras and other animals that characterised the recent PS3 3.0 update, but then bigger changes are afoot in the new PSPgo and Minis initiatives, launching 1st October.
