PlayStation Vita playable at EG Expo

New handheld's first UK hands-on!

Eurogamer Expo will host the first public UK hands-on with PlayStation Vita.

Sony's next-gen portable will be playable on the show floor later this month, way ahead of its 2012 release.

Sony Worldwide Studios Europe exec Michael Denny will open Eurogamer Expo's developer sessions with an exclusive Vita presentation on Thursday at midday.

Announced at E3 this year, Vita is Sony's state of the art successor to the PSP and features a front touch-screen and rear multi-touch pad.

Good news, too, for Uncharted fans. Nathan Drake himself, Mr. Nolan North, will appear at Thursday and Friday's Uncharted dev sessions with lead designer Richard Lemarchand, in addition to North's own talk on Saturday.

Eurogamer Expo 2011 takes place at London's cavernous Earls Court One between 22nd and 25th September.

It's the UK's biggest and best gaming event, set to welcome 30,000 gamers through the doors.

Head to www.eurogamerexpo.com for tickets - Thursday, Friday and Sunday entry is still available.

This is PlayStation Vita.
