UK to get The Bible Game
And Soccer Life II.
Publisher 505 Gamestreet has announced plans to release two PS2 titles in the UK - football management sim Soccer Life II and tip top religious quiz The Bible Game.
Yes, you can now find out once and for all who knows their Bible best with more than 1500 quiz questions and mini-game challenges based on the Old Testament.
The game sees "energetic, ever-smiling host Justin Warren" presenting a game show titled Do Unto Others, in which up to four players can take part. You take it in turns to reveal panels on the game board and play through rapid fire rounds, sudden death matches and mini-game challenges (based on Biblical stories such as Jonah and the Whale, David and Goliath and the parting of the Red Sea). But watch out for the fearsome "Wrath of God" panel - if you reveal that one, you'll lose all your points.
Apparently you can expect "hearty fun" for all the family - "With The Bible Game, you can feel good about kids playing videogames." Oh, and it all takes place to the sound of "music tracks from some of the hottest Christian rock artists of the moment."
If you like your games with less Bible and more balls, how about Soccer Life II, "a management game with a difference." You get to select a player from a choice of more than 5000 FIFPro and JFA licensed superstars, then train him and manage his career - choosing everything from what position he plays in to the type of treatment he receives for injuries.
There's also some kind of Footballers' Wives element to the proceedings, where you can "experience first-hand the celebrity lifestyle; the cars, the women and of course the endorsements." You can decide whether your player gets a soap star girlfriend, settles down and starts a family, or just takes teenage girls back to his hotel room with six or seven mates. All right, maybe not the last one.
Soccer Life II and The Bible Game are out on June 30th, priced at £29.99 each.
