Bethesda Softworks has revealed that the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been delayed until the first quarter of 2007.

That actually means that the "Knights of the Nine" quest, originally billed as a nice added incentive for PS3 buyers, will debut on Xbox 360 and PC much sooner than it does on the new Sony platform.

The PC retail version is due out on 21st November in the US (24th November here), and is bundled with all the game's previously released downloadable content.

It will also be possible to buy the quest on its own if you don't much care for things like horsey armour - you'll be able to do that for US$ 9.99 through OblivionDownloads.com.

Xbox 360 owners will be able to buy the quest on its own for 800 Microsoft points through Xbox Live Marketplace.
