Little King's Story HD remaster is coming to PC next week

The Wii's crowning achievement comes to Steam.

The 2009 darkly comic Wii cult classic Little King's Story is coming to PC on 5th August with updated graphics.

Cing and Town Factory's strategy game puts players in the crown of young King Corobo who has found himself suddenly in charge of his townsfolk. What he says goes, and Corobo wants to expand his kingdom the way kings do: by conquering neighboring territories.

Little King's Story may look cutesy on the surface, but it's a quietly grim game about colonisation. Director Yoshiro Kimura said it best in a 2009 interview with N-Sider:

Japan chart: 3DS sales spike thanks to new Kingdom Hearts

While Silent Hill HD Collection, Little King's Story Vita tank.

3DS sales saw a significant jump in Japan last week thanks largely to the release of a new entry in Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts action RPG series.

Nintendo's portable sold 121,921 units, compared to 94,011 last week.

It continues to totally dominate the Japanese hardware market - its nearest rival was PlayStation 3 with 23,771 sales. The Vita continues to slum it, but saw a small bump to 12,105, up from 10,302.

New Little King's Story Vita confirmed for Europe

PlayStation Vita game New Little King's Story will launch in Europe, Konami has confirmed.

The Marvelous Entertainment-developed roaming role-playing sequel to Wii game Little King's Story releases in 2012.

You play King Corobo, who must reclaim his kingdom from The Nightmare. You recruit isolated pockets of subjects into an army, using the Vita's touch-screen to control and arrange recruits, send them into battle or to search areas.
