There's a time and a plaice for a story like this, and that's Friday afternoon. Dovetail Games has renamed Dovetail Games Fishing to Dovetail Games Euro Fishing, and given it a release plate sorry date of 22nd October.
"The game has been renamed as the locations, the fish types, the fishing techniques and the equipment are all synonymous with European fishing," a spokesperson explained - and because all Europeans smell of fish. No they don't, I wrote that for the halibut.
It's coming out on Steam for PC, and maybe Mackeral and Line-hooks? Let's hope it's not pay-to-swim!
Dovetail Games Fishing will see a release on Xbox One via Microsoft's ID@Xbox self-publishing program.
UK Prime Minister David Cameron has toured the offices of Dovetail Games, the developer behind Train Simulator.
Train Simulator developer Dovetail Games has announced the release of its new angling simulator, Dovetail Games Fishing.
The 15th anniversary of the Dreamcast's launch that just passed (sadly we were all too caught up in Destiny to celebrate it properly) got me thinking about some of that initial launch line-up. One of the best games, for my money, was Sega Bass Fishing, which is perhaps unmatched when it comes to novelty value thanks to that amazing fishing rod controller. It's also unmatched for slightly hazy afternoons playing at being real fishermen with friends, and Sega Bass Fishing arguably offered the most fun of the Dreamcast's original line-up.
The people behind the Train Simulator series are making a fishing simulator - and it may support virtual reality.
