Gamer Network announces EGX Rezzed and EGX London events for 2014

The new name of the Eurogamer Expo.

The new EGX Rezzed event will retain the PC and indie spirit of the first two Rezzed shows.

Gamer Network, which publishes this website, is planning two massive consumer events in 2014 to build on the success of the Eurogamer Expo and Rezzed.

Our consumer events now go by the name EGX and will be bigger and better than ever next year. EGX Rezzed takes place at The NEC in Birmingham from 28th-30th March, while EGX London will take over Earls Court for four days from 25th-28th September.

EGX Rezzed will cater for 25,000 gamers at the end of March, showcasing the best of PC and indie gaming alongside next-generation console titles due out in the Easter window and beyond. Expect a huge retro arcade, developer sessions, cosplay, tournaments and more.

Last year's dev sessions included panels with Chris Avellone, Dean Hall and Ragnar Tornquist, as well as game presentations for DayZ, Rome 2 and Sir, You Are Being Hunted. The sessions are still curated by me (hello!) and I'll be working hard to maintain the PC and indie spirit of Rezzed as we welcome a broader church of games from other formats.

Tickets for EGX Rezzed are now on sale at the show's new website: www.egxrezzed.net.

Looking further ahead, EGX London will take over two full floors of Earls Court at the end of September. We're increasing the show capacity to 80,000 gamers this year, with over two thousand screens of playable games and a wide range of other activities.

The EGX London website is also live now at www.egxlondon.net and tickets will go on sale from 1st April 2014.

You can expect plenty of announcements of games, dev sessions and other attractions over the next year as we prepare for both shows, and of course the editorial teams from Eurogamer.net, Rock, Paper, Shotgun and other Gamer Network sites will also be at both events so you can complain to us in person about that thing we're always wrong about.

If you have any pressing questions about the events, hit up the teams for EGX Rezzed and EGX London on Twitter.
