Free Realms finally gets PS3 date
Free-to-play kids' MMO heading to PSN.
Free Realms, the PlayStation 3's "very first casual, free-to-play MMO", hits PlayStation Network on 29th March, Sony Online Entertainment has announced.
The publisher's colourful fantasy offering first launched on PC back in 2009 and, according to Sony, has since racked up 17 million registered players.
Aimed at younger gamers, you'll "hop on the back of your trusty T-Rex and explore the countryside; discovering strange lands, rare collectibles, and exciting quests," explained lead designer Stephen Bokkes on the PlayStation Blog.
"Brave the dangers of forgotten dungeons and battle hordes of mythical monsters and bad-tempered beasties."
On top of all that stuff, there are mini-games galore too, including kart racing, demolition derby, football and pirate ship battles.
Bokkes promised there's plenty of content before you'll be asked to cough up some cash.
"All jobs are available through level four, as well as over 800 quests and countless minigames. Upgrade to a membership and get unlimited access to all job levels, as well as additional premium content and features."
