When I said it provides the ideal mix of screen size and resolution, that's because the AW2723DF offers both a a 27-inch panel and a 2560x1440 resolution, giving you a nice increase in detail over 1080p while not requiring as much GPU grunt as 4K. Over a DisplayPort connection, you can also get a 280Hz refresh rate via overclocking - that's fantastic for competitive players in fast-paced esports titles such as Counter-Strike 2. VRR is included as well to smooth out the on-screen action regardless of frame-rate, with compatibility for both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro.
What's more, this Alienware option also features a Fast IPS panel, combining the benefits of IPS and TN panels with its excellent colours and viewing angles alongside being rather responsive, too. With HDMI, you're limited to a 144Hz refresh rate.

Its stand also provides good adjustment with height adjust, swivel and tilt, while its OSD is also easy to navigate and offers clever features such as Picture in Picture to allow you to look at two separate inputs at the same time.
