And The Rest: Friday News Roundup

Tomb Raider to miss E3 (déjŕ vu anyone?), England International Football trailer, and news of a B.C. IRC developer chat.

As reported here around a month ago, the next Tomb Raider game will not be appearing at E3 this year. "It's official," an Eidos representative reportedly told the US press this week. The Crystal Dynamics-developed seventh title in the series is currently listed for release in the middle of 2005, and ought to be an improvement on the dreadful Angel Of Darkness at the very least.

In order to celebrate St. George's Day, apparently, Codemasters has released a trailer movie for England International Football, its official game of the England football team, which is due out on PS2 and Xbox next Friday complete with Xbox Live support for two players. EA's competing UEFA Euro 2004 title is due out a week later, but we'll probably stick with Winning Eleven 7: International regardless. Sorry guys. Still, you can see the movie for yourself on the publisher's official website here.

Lionhead-loving types will be getting a chance to quiz the likes of Peter Molyneux and Intrepid's Joe Rider this coming Tuesday as part of a friendly developer chat on IRC discussing B.C. Kicking off on Quakenet (channel #intrepid) at 6:30 GMT, the B.C. chat will focus on, well, anything you'd like to discuss, with at least five members of the development team present. See QuakeNet.org for details on how to hook yourself up to the wonders of Internet Relay Chat.
