X-Men Legends sequel on the cards

The first one's only out in Europe today, but Activision is so happy about it that it's commissioned a sequel.

X-Men Legends is barely on store shelves here in Europe (it literally came out today), but publisher Activision has already greenlit a sequel from developer Raven Software, after boasting that the first Legends title is set to become the most successful X-Men game in the franchise's history.

However Activision's eagerness to confirm the sequel's development doesn't extend to announcing any details. Instead we're left to assume that the sequel will stick to the same formats (the first one is out on PS2, Xbox and GameCube), and speculate on everything else.

The original Legends, which has been out in the US for a little while now, is an action RPG style affair in which players control up to four X-Men as they hack and slash their way through hordes of unpleasant people. You can read our review here.

We'll bring you more on the sequel as soon as it becomes available.
