New Call of Duty, True Crime titles, amongst others

Others including Spider-Man, Shrek, Tony Hawk, etc. Activision gets busy.

Activision plans to continue releasing games in its key franchises on a yearly cycle, supplementing its line-up with one or two new brands each year, president Ron Doornink explained in the publisher's investor conference call this week.

To kick off for fiscal year 2006 then, which runs from April 2005 to March 2006), we can expect Cabela's, Call of Duty, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Madagascar, Quake, Shrek, Spider-Man and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater titles - the Quake title being the as-yet unreleased Quake IV, the rest sequels to existing titles.

This year's new franchise will apparently be Lionhead's The Movies, which at least means that should be out before next March by Activision's reckoning, while the Neversoft title Activision sort of announced last night is the big change for fiscal year 2006.
