Indy Racing League renamed

"In keeping with the recent developments in the sport"

The Indy Racing League is no more. This is no doubt the puzzling news that greeted Codemasters, fresh from signing - and announcing - its own licensed game based on the franchise, and prompted last Friday's press release entitled "Codemasters' Indy Racing League becomes 'IndyCar Series' a the US motor sport series unveils its new name".

The freshly relabelled IndyCar Series is due out this spring on PS2, Xbox and PC.
