Doctor Who VR game studio announces console follow-up

But will it come to next-regen?

Doctor Who: The Edge of Time VR developer Maze Theory has announced plans for a follow-up game, this time bound for non-virtual reality platforms.

The untitled sequel will arrive in early 2021 for "PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch" - though there's no confirmation of exactly which generation of PlayStation and Xbox.

Another Doctor Who game, this time for mobile, is also in development, in partnership with Simulacra studio Kaigan Games.

Altogether, these will form a "trilogy of experiences", Maze Theory wrote today in a new blog post. Expect Weeping Angels, Daleks and Jodie Whittaker's Doctor to all put in an appearance.

Edge of Time released back in November last year for PlayStation VR, Oculus and Vive headsets. It received decent reviews, and you can see our Ian playing it in his VR corner. It's "surprisingly spooky", he reckoned.
