Nintendo will suspend all video streaming services on the Wii from 30th January 2019.

That means the likes of Netflix will stop working on Wii from 31st January.

Confirmation comes from a note on Netflix's website, and users on reddit have reported receiving email warnings.

It make sense the 12-year-old console would lose functionality, and with the Nintendo Switch getting a YouTube app just this week, it feels like the torch is finally being passed.

According to users, Netflix's email includes the following:

"We hope you'll soon enjoy an even better Netflix experience with additional features on a supported device. Please visit netflix.com/wii for our device list."

A hint Netflix will soon come to Nintendo Switch?
