Crackdown 3 gets a lick of paint

A Sumo Digital production.

Microsoft has re-revealed Crackdown, confirming it's now called Crackdown 3.

A new video shown off during Microsoft's E3 2018 media briefing described Crackdown 3 as a Sumo Digital production, and reiterated the recently-announced delay to February 2019.

The video suggests the game has come on since we last saw it in 2017, with a graphical improvement and a cel-shaded Terry Crews blowing plenty up in the open world.

Here's the official blurb:

"Homing rocket launchers, vortex cannons and transforming vehicles. Get ready to step up your boom and play as Terry Crews' Commander Jaxon in Crackdown 3. Coming February 2019."
