You'll be able to try the game free of charge on either platform from 18th March at 1pm UK time until 21st March, 1pm UK, shortly before the racer's 24th March launch date.

Here's a video-based teaser for said open beta:

Trackmania was originally due to launch last year, but was delayed after playtesting and feedback suggested it needed more time being tuned in the pits.

The game will come with 200 pre-built tracks to master, set over four environments: International Stadium, Canyon Grand Drift, Valley Down & Dirty and the all-new Rollercoaster Lagoon.

You can then construct new tracks to test yourself and others using the game's Trackbuilder tool.
