Minecraft movie is being directed by Rob McElhenney

Yes, Mac from It's Always Sunny.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-creator and star Rob McElhenney will be directing the Minecraft movie, Mojang has announced.

"Hey @Mojang let's do something strange and wonderful," McElhenney said on Twitter.

McElhenney has only directed the upcoming TV movie Pariah, a short called Danny DeVito & the Contract, and three episodes of It's Always Sunny (one of these was the classic Charlie Gets Crippled).

The Minecraft movie was revealed last year when it was announced that Warner Bros. would be developing the film with The Lego Movie producer Roy Lee on board.
