Focus Home Interactive has released the first gameplay footage of Blood Bowl 2, the video game based on the American Football-themed Warhammer board game.

The video, below, sees the human team Reikland Reavers perform some of the basic moves that make up the core mechanics of the game. Humans are good all-rounders, we're told, but still pack a punch.

Players can perform running, passing, catching, blocking and blitzing moves that combine with 75 different skills, unlocked as your team earns experience.

Blood Bowl 2, developed by Cyanide and set for release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One spring 2015, is built using a new graphics engine (Cyanide built 2009's Blood Bowl). It also features Cabalvision HD commenting duo Jim Johnson and Bob Bifford.

There are eight races: Humans, Orcs, Dwarfs, Skaven, Dark Elves, Chaos, Bretonnia and High Elves.

There's loads more information over at the new Blood Bowl 2 website.
