The Walking Dead infects Ouya this year

Episode One will be free.

Telltale's excellent adaptation of Robert Kirkman's zombie-apocalypse survival drama The Walking Dead has been ported to almost everything, but that's not going to stop it from spreading to the youngest of current platforms, the android-based console Ouya.

The console manufacturer announced today that all of The Walking Dead: Season One - along with its 400 Days expansion - will be heading to Ouya later this year as one solid bundle. Better yet, Episode One will be free for anyone to try.

Looking ahead, Season Two has also been confirmed for Ouya, though no release date has been set for any platform.

Currently, The Walking Dead is available for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, Vita and iOS. On one hand, most people who own an Ouya and are interested in The Walking Dead have probably already played it, but on the other, it helps bolster up the fledgling console's lonely library in a big way as The Walking Dead was one of the best games of 2012.
