Boulder Dash-XL 3D announced

Out on 3DS in July.

Boulder Dash-XL 3D launches on Nintendo 3DS on 20th July, Reef Entertainment has announced.

The 3DS port of the PC and Xbox Live Arcade retro arcade game was developed by Ludosity. It costs £19.99 / €29.99.

The 3DS game features 3D graphics, four gaming worlds, five game modes, over 150 new caves, a new scoring mechanic and unlock and high score sharing with other players via StreetPass.

The PC and XBLA version was made by German developer Catnip Games, and launched last summer. Created by lone Canadian programmer Peter Liepa, Boulder Dash was first sighted on the Atari 400 back in 1984.
