Shoot Many Robots PC release date announced

Pre-order through Steam for Half-Life, Portal and TF2 in-game goodies.

Four player co-op run and gun RPG shooter Shoot Many Robots launches on PC on 6th April, Ubisoft has announced.

It costs £7.99. Pre-order through Steam and you'll get a number of bonuses. Buy three copies of the game and you get one free as part of the Steam Four Pack. Pre-order and you'll get Gordon Freeman from Half-Life gear to wear, the turrets from Portal will replace some of the enemy robots, and a special backpack from Team Fortress 2, the Chopper Bot, for the Pyro and Medic classes.

The PC version boasts "sexier" graphics, fuelled by up to a 2560x1600 resolution and 60 fps. The controls and interface have been optimised for PC, and include Facebook matchmaking, Steam achievements and integrated voice chat.

"We're dedicated PC gamers here at Demiurge Studios, and we wanted to make sure and take the time to do the PC version right," said boss Albert Reed. "We rebuilt the controls for PC and overhauled all the user interface so it won't feel like you've turned your keyboard into a gamepad that makes clicky sounds - every detail has been considered to make this an optimized and seamless experience."

We reviewed the Xbox Live Arcade version earlier this month, awarding it 7/10.
