Microsoft has announced plans to release an Xbox 360 bundle with a Gears of War 3 theme.

It'll include a custom designed red and black console, complete with 320GB hard drive, and two wireless controllers.

You'll also get a wired headset, a copy of Gears 3 and a download token for bonus game content - such as the Infected Omen weapon pack and the Adam Fenix character for use in multiplayer.

Just for extra spankiness, the console's power and eject buttons will make sounds you'll recognise from the Gears games when pressed. Bet that was Cliffy's idea.

So far only a US release has been confirmed for the bundle. It'll hit shops there alongside the game on "September 20", priced at $399 (around 240 in the old money). Limited edition Gears 3 controllers will also be available separately for $59.99 (35).
