Square Enix has announced plans to bring The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded to the West.

The 3rd Birthday is a PSP title in the Parasite Eve series, which serious men remember from its PSone days. While the original games were survival-horror, this spin-off is more of a shooter.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for DS, meanwhile, is another action role-playing game in the Disney and Square crossover world originally imagined on PS2 and brought to life in solid fashion through other handheld instalments.

Both games will be at E3 next week - their Western futures were revealed in Square Enix's E3 line-up press blast - along with fellow handheld titles Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (PSP) and Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light (DS).

You can also expect to see Final Fantasy XIV, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, Front Mission Evolved, Dungeon Siege 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Square Enix's stands, plus download title Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
