Saints Row 3 on track for FY2012
As are Space Marine, Darksiders 2.
THQ big cheese Brian Farrell has revealed that Saints Row 3, Darksiders 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will all be released in fiscal 2012.
Or, in human language, some time between April 2011 and the end of March 2012.
Saints Row 3 and Darksiders 2 we know nothing about, although we've heard their names in THQ financial calls before.
Space Marine, on the other hand, we've seen. Renowned developer Relic is at the helm, shaping an action role-playing game for PS3 and Xbox 360. Unfamiliar turf.
Farrell and THQ would not be budged on the release date of the Warhammer 40,000 MMO. "We're not announcing a launch date for a reason," said Farrell, pointing to E3 next month to find out more.
Money man Paul Pucino added that THQ was not looking for millions of subscribers for the MMO, either. "Let me put it this way," he said, "we don't need [millions] of subscribers to be making a lot of money."

Just started on Darksiders, having had it since launch, and it seems pretty epic so far. Great style, animation, lip syncing, and voice acting.

Darksiders however just seemed to be a less competent and less enjoyable clone of God of War / Devil May Cry, it wasn't a bad game by any means but the combat just felt incredibly ropey and just not as satisfying as other games in the same genre.

"we don't need [millions] of subscribers to be making a lot of money."
Does that mean the game is made on such a small budget, they don't need lots of people to buy it before they recoup their losses on the development?

Start the game with full health and all powers but lose them after the first level? Super powered transformations? Unlock wings for gliding? Take on the gods themselves single-handed? I would say that constitutes a clone.
Your right that the first comparison should be Legend of Zelda, but thinking this doesn't emulate GOW in any way is being nieve.

And no love for Spess Mahrine? Shame on you people, Relic might actually figure out how consoles work this time! And if they do, you'll be happy all your days, since Relic is one of the developers that loves pushing their genre around the most.
