No SSFII Turbo HD for PSN this week
European gamers forced to wait.
Capcom has admitted that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will not be released on PlayStation Network in Europe this week.
The publisher has previously refused to comment on the PSN version - despite the fact it launches in the US this week - but a spokesperson told Eurogamer today that "it's definitely not this week".
HD Remix is due out in the US today on PSN and worldwide tomorrow on Xbox Live Arcade, where it will cost USD 14.99 and 1200 Microsoft Points (GBP 10.20 / EUR 14.40) respectively.
The fancy HD-graphics version of one of the best 2D beat-'em-ups ever has been in development for almost as long as Capcom has existed, and features 1080p visuals, a soundtrack by OCRemix and online play among its new features.

Sod you Capcom, there is no reason for this. Sony has centralised certification for games at the moment.

Because of Sony's stupid locilazation requirements and games have to be submitted and approved in each region. Just stupid. I'm buyin' it from the US Store... just a shame Sony continue to shaft Europe like this and not trying to get worldwise releases for key PSN titles!!

On PS3 yes, on 360 not so much...

"If you're interested in comparisons between the PS3 and 360 versions of HD Remix, Street Fighter fans will be happy to know that both are excellent and there's little difference between them. I (along with many others) greatly prefer the PS3 controller's D-pad over the 360 option, so that's something to consider if you plan on going down the controller route."
...and...
"The simplified special move commands make HD Remix totally playable on a standard pad, or a Sony pad, at least -- 360 users will have to learn to use the analog stick instead of that miserable digital directional monstrosity. "

Its been stated before that SCEE takes about a week longer due to a more robust and informative bug check process.
Are you really that desperate to get this that you MUST get it this week?

And MS have a centralised global certification process. Something Sony will move to but has not yet.
Use Capcom's Age Of Booty as an example. Out on US PSN on 13 Nov, EU PSN 27 Nov. So if it's similar with SFII then expect it 11 Dec. 2 week wait is OK by me.
As for the trophies - it's classic "bait and switch". For BCR, before launch it was "we'll patch it after launch". But now everyone has bought it, they say "priorities have shifted". They might as well say "we've already got your money - suckers!!"

I'm tempted to get the 360 version, but I don't like the idea of paying for online services, so I guess I'll just wait.

Just trying to keep things informative instead of saying "fucking cuntbags" to something I don't appear to understand.

It seems most of the 16 PSN games I have purchased are from the US, but always prefer to buy the euro version when sony give it to us day and date with the US release.

Sorry for the delay, have been on me dinner.
Okay.
I do understand what a delay to a game release is, you condescending arsehole.
It is my right as a free human to express my anger using whatever words or phrases I choose.
Do you understand that you have slightly less right to express yourself as an internet policeman?

But SCEE is a total cluster f**K the way they operate. M$ are much more organised.. Though I would have preferred this game on PS3 due to the shitty 360 D-Pad.. Time for a custom made Arcade stick!!

They are the best manufacturers of this stuff and they use the same materials as on the Tournament arcade boxes. It's 260$ for the one I want (176 quid) but its not bad. Might get two!
