More Red Steel games? News

Wii News by Tom Bramwell

29 November, 2006

Red Steel has drawn mixed reviews since its launch with the Wii in the US, but it looks like Ubisoft is keen to battle on regardless.

That's certainly the view fostered by a job posting which seeks (in French, mind) a game designer to help continue the series.

Whether that means another Wii title or a Red Steel port or something else entirely is unclear, with Ubisoft yet to comment.

Still, you won't have to wait long to see whether it's worth their while. Red Steel is due out alongside the Nintendo Wii in Europe on 8th December.

Yeah, but apparently it's the second most bought game in the US, next to Zelda. Which for Ubi means mucho $£€

I'd give it a rental first.

Launch titles usually sell well even if they are pap. Obviously if they could ever get a FPS working really well on the Wii it would be a killer app. It seems to be a lot harder than people originally thought though.
