New Super SFIV fighters detailed
Watch T. Hawk, Dee Jay, Juri scrap.
Capcom's Seth Killian has demonstrated the confirmed new characters in Super Street Fighter IV in a series of videos over on IGN.
All-new Juri is "frankly just not a friendly girl. She's definitely evil. She's got a cybernetic purple eye," according to Killian.
She's a Korean Tae Kown Do fighter favouring kicks over punches. As well as traditional TKD moves, she has a fireball attack "with some hit frames on startup" that the player can store while moving around and then unleash as a surprise attack.
She also has a counter that allows her to dash behind or away from her opponent or up in the air; she'll take damage but can heal it back. Then there's a pinwheel attack on all three buttons, and a dive-kick with a multiple follow-up in its EX version. "She has to take chances but she has a lot of options," says Killian.
T. Hawk and Dee Jay will be more familiar, completing as they do the Street Fighter II roster. T. Hawk is a "giant Native American brawler" with dragon punch and pile-driver moves. He can close in from a distance with his condor dive and a new move called the condor spire, a reverse dragon punch. "T. Hawk's not so dangerous from far away, but when he's up close he's one of the most dangerous characters in the game," says Killian.
Dee Jay is all about owning the bottom of the screen, says Killian - his weakness is in the air. "I file Dee Jay under 'Ono's unfinished business'... He's one of the ones to watch, could be one of the strongest characters in the game," said the Capcom man.
Super Street Fighter IV will be released as a budget, standalone game for PS3 and Xbox 360 in spring next year.

Why should it of been DLC? It's a super edition of the original game. Tweeked, added to, balanced out etc.
Sure, the speed of the super edition of 4 is mighty suss (and the whoring of costumes on the original is even more evil as they knew they'd release this), but a year for a sequel (which to SF fans these "tweeks" kinda are and always have been as they do affect the game) is no more than your average sequel/"tweek" FIFA, PES, COD, NFS, GH, RB etc etc.

True.
It will be a budget priced release too since it just a new version of the same game. I will be getting it no doubt. Best fighting game this gen next to SSF2HDR wich is my favourite fighting game ever.

Yeah I am actually impressed DLC thief is charging less, perhaps a sign they are seeing the light?
I think the problem is many people thinking this should be DLC don't understand (or know) the roots of the different versions - Arcades. We all played the improved version and wanted them at home so we got 'em.
Ironically, and rather sadly if you ask me, SSF4 is not even hitting what's left of the arcade market. I miss arcades of old

I do not think that is bad! And they have said that owners of SF4 will also get something special.
I cannot see a problem. But then again I am not whiney gobshite kid who expects the world to revolve around me!

I would have to agree with Bad09 and muscleblade, given the volume of the content that they seem to be doing for a buget price I have no issue buying it as a stand alone. So far I know we're getting
8 new characters (Some looking I've done makes me think I'll be replaceing my main cammy with Juri)
The return of the bonus stages
Pretty much new multiplayer in terms of modes etc
And a revamped engine and tweaks to everything currently there, including air ultra and two stage/level ultras
If Capcom has a change of heart and puts the price up I might be more annoyed but at the moment its looking pretty sweet.

Hopefully the budget price is really a budget price.

£5 off your purchase of 'Super Steet Fighter IV Zero Ultra Edition' (coming Fall 2010!) perhaps?

They're probably the same people that through utter laziness never venture beyond picking Ken on the select screen.
