Lost Odyssey content on Live

Dream, ring, lamp.

Microsoft has popped some Lost Odyssey downloadable content onto Xbox Live.

It's a Triple Bonus Pack that will set you back 200 Points (GBP 1.70 / EUR 2.40), and brings with it a fresh equipment in the shape of a ring, as well as a new dream and a memory lamp to re-view old dreams with.

The ring, Killer Machine, has a trio of level three enhancements that work best against magic-weapon-wielding baddies.

The dream, Shattered Bond, is triggered when you pick up an antique and have it in your possession when you visit the demolished bridge in front of Castle Uhra. You must have collected all the characters for this to work.

Not the secret underground research facility content that Japan was treated to earlier this month, then.

Still, nice nonetheless.

I remember the days when stuff like this used to be free. I guess the only people we can blame are gamers for paying for this stuff.

Well done lads, next you will be giving Microsoft money to pay as you play. Don't insert the moneyz and the console will shut down and tell you that you fail.

Every single news source is getting this wrong: the lamp does not let you view old dreams. You can view old dreams already! It lets you view cut scenes that have already passed!! I downloaded it because I'm currently obsessed with the game, and at 200 points, its definitely not breaking the bank. The dreams are amazing, so another one is always welcome, but of course I'm still waiting for the DLC with the new dungeon!

The dreams are so sad, but beautifuly written. Anyway, going nuts trying to get "Treasure Trove". I will get this DLC, but I'm not expecting much, not after the very poor Blue Dragon's one.

I'd rather wait for the underground research facility dungeon. that sounds more worth the money.

Arbiter, you haven't played any of Mystwalkers titles have you? The multiple disc thing is very, very well implemented. Teh dreams for instance can be allwatched in Disc 4, even for the ones found in previous discs. Every location can be visited, and so on. That means, when you insert a new disc, there's no need, ever, to insert a previous one.

@Arbiter: Yeah, you do need to swap discs, to watch the videos, but it works fairly well. Usual loading time applies.
