InFamous heading for spring 2009

Sony shows brand new PS3 trailer.

Sony has told us to expect PS3 exclusive InFamous next spring.

This is the open-world superhero game from Sly Raccoon bunch Sucker Punch, which lets you choose between being fighting for good or evil.

Sony showed a new trailer for it during its E3 press conference where the player romps around the city pulling off Force Lightning-style attacks and bounding across rooftops. Very violent and very exciting.

We had previously expected it sometime next year, but it is nice to hear it will arrive sooner rather than later.

Look out for more from E3 later in the week.

Er no. The trailer showed the player absorbing electricity from things and shooting it back out at people. Not sure how that translates to force lightning.

Still looks very good though as I like this idea more than the prototype one, where the character is effectively a parasite that absorbs people he kills. Somehow that just makes me sypathise with the army troops trying to stop him.

I really want to see how they handle the good/bad in this game, should be interesting. Most action games don't bother with it.

Please be as good as I want it to be. I loved the Sly games and feel Sucker Punch are tremendously underrated so I'm really looking forward to this.
