E3: Metroid Prime Trilogy dated

Out here in early September.

Nintendo issued an updated release date list at the end of its E3 conference, which concluded earlier this evening, announcing Metroid Prime Trilogy will be out in Europe on 4th September among other things.

The game, out in late August in the US, is actually three games: the first two GameCube releases and Metroid Prime: Corruption, which game out in 2007.

Other dates on the list include Professor Layton and Pandora's Box (DS, September) and Kirby Superstar Ultra (DS, September), although at first glance it seems we knew about most, if not all of the others. We'll take another look after the Sony conference and update you if necessary.

Another lazy way of repackaging old GameCube games then... way to go, Nintendo, beats having to get your developers to code new games, doesn't it? ;)

Personally, I didn't feel that the Wiimote controls added much, if anything, at all to Metroid Prime 3 because the earlier games played every bit as well with the GameCube controller. In some cases the unresponsiveness of the Nunchuk actually made the game frustrating in places, not enough to ruin it but certainly enough to make me question whether they actually improved on a traditional controller.

Is this being priced as a normal game?
If so, I might be tempted. Never had any of the Prime games, but always enjoyed playing them.

its being released $10 cheaper than usual retail games in the US so will prob be £30 here in shops and a bit cheaper online. i'm going to trade in prime 3 soon i think towards this.

    @ Santino

Don't be such a cock. Darren made a very reasonable and justified argument and your retort is to name call?! Nice.

To be honest I don't think it is fair to grumble at Nintendo for porting the 2 Cube Metroids Primes over, especially when all are on one disc and all priced as one game. I personally found Prime 3 controls a lot better. I think however, Nintendo should have released the new play control Pikmin 1/2 on one disc as well, as opposed to seperate.
